Lets have some fun with the POLL function....
This debate has been around here for ages.....now lets see what the majority really thinks.....
This is only for fun....but I thought it would be neat to see how it turns out. SWB = Short Wheel Base ! .....just to "stir the pot" a little. :D |
ahhhhhhhhhhh looks like great minds think alike hehehehhe
hey shane did you make that avatar you got or find it on the web it is awesome :bowtie: |
I down-sized it from a pic. It is a design that I saw somewhere on the web, and I saved it. I want to try and air brush it on the back side of a helmet.:D

Gotta agree with Big69C20 Toy - wheelbase not wide bed
Yeah, uhm, the last i checked no one offers a "Wide Bed" Forget the ford CHEVY debate, those of you who voted "Wide Bed" are really messed up........

SWB= short wheel base. LWB= long wheel base. yes I still have the letter from GM on this from last time we debated about this and someone requested written proof on this from GM.
WB=Wheel Base:D
OK, SWB is short wheelbase.........then do you refer to them as SWB Fleet and SWB Step?:bowtie:
It was short wheelbase and long wheelbase before they even had wide beds.
Yep. I got a friend who's lucky enough to have a 68 LWB stepside. That just don't fit in the wide-bed theory means of defining LWB.

I just call 'em short/fleet, short/step, or long/fleet, long/step. Long/steps look odd though.
You guys got it all wrong. Its LONG WIDE BOX. Come on, geeze.:p
My vote for Wheel Base
Yep, Chevrolet says WB stands for WHEEL BASE, I'm looking at their specs now, WB is measured from front axle center to rear axle center, Hence 115" Short Bed, 127" Long Bed, 133" Longhorn. It would sound kinda funny calling it a 115" Wide Bed, 127" Wide Bed, or a 133" wide bed. Those would be a pain to drive down narrow streets!!! :D :D :D
Wide Boxes!
Er... uhm... we're not talkin girlfriends or wives here, we are talkin about truck beds... |
Well, in the back-woods part of the country I come from, a SWB is never a stepside. If it's SWB, it's refered to as a "short wide" and a LWB is a "long wide". If it's a stepside and it's a short wheel base, it's just called a "stepside". A long wheel base stepside is called a "long step".
