Aluminum Wheel Polish
2 Attachment(s)
Thought I'd kill some time in a useful way
I thought I'd show you guys what the "green stuff" can do. Its polish that several companys sell, i got mine from a vendor at a car show. I think California Customs sell it, Mudder has used this product too. http://www.californiacustom.com/ First picture is the way all the wheels on britney look like, the second is one is a rear wheel I cleaned up and polished. |
I have had great success with the polish that the waterless car wash people sell. I use it on everything from glass to plastic and of course it works great on chrome. Is that what it is called? Green stuff?
|
I just call it the "green stuff" ..........

Gotta sound off here. Most of all this stuff is made from jewelers rouge. Some of them work better than others depending on the mixture of the jr and mineral spirits. The one I use from California Customs is purple and probably is the best I have used. I have had the green several times but it has varied from bottle to bottle.
BTW you can get the different coarses of jewelers rouge online and make your own cleaner/polish. You have to make it into a powder then add mineral spirits. It has to be shaken up regularly. |
I bought the purple stuff because of Randy and Bill and like it alot. I was thinking about buying the green just to try it.
|
There are more than one "green stuff". California Customs makes some green stuff that is an oxidizer (acid) that is used before the purple on badly stain or oxidized wheels. Jewelers rouge also comes in a light green bar also so the polish is light pea green. I've seen jewelers rouge sold at shows in old soda bottles.
