Parting out 84
5 Attachment(s)
The truck was someone's resto project which they gave up on as the cab was too far gone to bother with once they got into it. Long wheelbase, single tank (drivers side) bed, pics should basically explain the rest. Bed has some bubbling over wheelwells, and has some rust on the lower portion behind wheels, bed floor has surface rust from no paint being on it, etc. Drivers door has rust on lower corner, so on so forth. Th350 tranny, standard 10 bolt rear with highway gearing (I want to say 241s). No dash pad, I'm keeping the passanger door, and I do have some extra parts as well I'll post in a few days or feel free to ask.
To throw out a couple items w/prices for the rules here's what I was thinking of: Hood $75 new Drivers Fender, primed but never painted $65 Brown Fenders $25ea Bed $150 I would also consider selling whole and trading for other parts too. The truck is in Massachusetts but I can bring some parts to southern Rhode Island if anyone was interested in meeting up in Naragansett area. |
Man, that is a nice ass truck that actually has some minor parts I need. Would you be willing to sell just that Custom Deluxe 10 emblem on the side there or whole fender only? And how much for the front bumper? Would you even be willing to ship the front bumper or too much hassle? Does the clear plastic that covers the gauges happen to be clear still, or is it a usual GM fader? Last but not least, what color is the driver's side interior door panel and how much would you sell it for? Well, all I can think of for now. Let me know.

I'd seperate the emblem off the fender but I'd need to check to make sure it wasnt glued on or cracked or anything first for you, I can do that over the weekend when I'm back up where the truck is stored. The front bumper has faded chrome and some dings/scratches in it, ok for a driver but I would think you can probably do alot better locally than paying for the shipping on this one. The clear lens over the guages was hazy from age, and the interior panel was brown and the plastic faded on top from the sun, and if memory serves was also kind of scratched up. If there was anything else you were interested in let me know, but I'll check the emblem anyways. Thanks

Cool, how much for the emblem and the door panel? As long as the panel isnt broken or cracked up or anything, and doesnt have any slots for power accessories, it should be ok. Will be painting it a light tan anyways, even though the interior in mine is "saddle". I dont know if the door panels can even be shipped, have never tried it. Otherwise, will definitely need the emblem if you can get it off. Anyhow, thanks for the reply.

How much for the front end - crossmember/ctrl arms/spindles etc.????
I'm in central RI/ central CT (work in one state and my projects/shop in in the other) and could pick up the parts if you can take them out. PM if you wish. |
marker lights
are the front marker lights in good shape? do you have the headlight bezels?how much for both?
|
what shape is the th350 in and how much to ship it to 84118
|
I'll check the condition of the marker lamps and let you know, the headlight bezels were tossed as they were basically 81-82 style that had vertical fins broken out and were essentially useless.
alf4444: The th350 worked well, truck didnt have alot of miles on it and based on its previous life as a farm truck I'd say they were most likely original. I think it was in the 50k range. Shipping I can check in the next couple days, but you are aware this is a 2wd tranny and not 4wd right? (saw your other post) |
I needed a 4wd :whine:

How much for the front clear turning indicator lamps as well? Are either of them cracked? How about the driver's side vent window assembly? Any good? I'm interested in the fender emblem, the driver's side door panel, and these parts, if you are still parting it out. Let me know. Thanks.

I;m interested in the rear end. Can you verify the axle ratio, it should say in the glovebox. It's a 5 lug right.
