Well I have this week off, so hopefully I'll get some work done. Baby got some new shoes and parts are primed and ready to be edged. Hopefully I'll finish all the welding tomorrow, and I can testfit the doors. If all goes well, the top will be off and the doors, fenders, and hood will be edged and mounted. Here are some pics LUV.

DAMN BUDDY, LOOKING GOOD, ONE DAY I'M GOING TO DRIVE DOWN THERE
AND SEE THIS THING IN PERSON, AS SOON AS MINE IS ROAD WORTHY

MY WIFE HAS RELATIVES IN ATLANTA, SO THAT GIVES ME AN EXCUSE ;)

We'll have to have a southern meet. Try to get some folks from around the southeast to get together. I hope to have mine road worthy, but not complete, by spring.

Here are some shots of the door jambs. I ran out of time and just had to blow some primer on them. We've got some more welding to do and some more filler work, but they should turn out o.k.. I stayed home Thursday to spend some time with my little girls.

I am glad someone is making progress, I gotta get started on my truck, so I can get started on my blazer!

Thanks. Tomorrow is the last day I'll be able to work on her for a while. Today I got one side closer.

Last day of the week o'Blazer. I thought I would have gotten more done this week, but it justs takes time. The doors, hood, fenders, and tailgate are all in red-oxide primer. Now the jambs have been welded and I finished the fillerwork. Both sides are have been block sanded and red-oxide primer is now the color. Spot putty is in place on both sides and just waiting for another day. There is still some bodywork to do under the driver's side taillight, but I ran out of time today. It looks like I'll have to wait for spring break (I'm a teacher) to edge the fenders, doors, and hood. I guess it will be early June before it is sprayed. :(

Here are a few pics of how she sits today.

Nice progress for a week.

Tell me about the nerf bars you've got on there. My wife and daughter are always telling me I need to put steps on it so they can climb up. Where did the bars come from and how did you attach them? The rocker boxes always seem to be in the way for attaching anything I've ever looked at.

Looks like you made great progress! Time to go back to work and get a break, right? :D

Looks like it's coming together very well. Can't wait to see it nearing completion.

Thanks for the compliments guys. With all these blazers in Tennessee and Georgia getting close we could have a great Southeast meet.

Mike - I bought the bars at a swap meet for $40. They came from a toyota 4x4 truck. I had a welder fab up some mounts. They don't look all that great from below, but he said they would not break off. They can hold me and I dress out at around 250 to 260. Here are some pics showing how they were mounted.

Jeremy,
Thanks for the pics. I knew there had to be more than meets the eye to getting those bars on. A while back I started trying to figure out how to fab up my own but never got around to actually doing it. It might make for an interesting project this spring.

Looking good. It seems that it always takes longer then you think. Anymore I double the amount of hours I think a job will take then I add my age, I come pretty close that way.. :)
