Locking gas cap

I haven't been able to find a good aftermarket gas cap that seals good ...my piants not perfect by any means but i hate getting gas down the side of my truck becuase the da&m cap doesn't seal

i've tried stant and another cap i found on ebay .. both are locking caps and both are worthless .. any sugegestion .. im have tempted to put my old screw-on cap back on and take my chances with the gas thieves

if anyone got a part number for a good cap .. im all ears

peace

Can't find a p/n (sorry), but I recently bought a new locking cap at NAPA to replace my old NAPA cap... the rubber had rotted after many years... made in Mexico, seals well & doesn't leak.

i'll give napa a try .. i've seen a black plastic locked cap too at a local parts store .. haven't the guts to put a peice a plastic on the tank .. looked chessy .. but knowing my luck it probaly seals the best

thanks for suggestion

Happy hunting - forgot to mention, my NAPA cap is chrome, has some red on the face (top) of it...

I got a 'STANT' with key lock at local 'Strause' store, rubber seal was so good I had problem with pressure in the tank on hot summer days. Used an 1/8" drill bit on inside center hole to fix that problem. Would top it off and have to make sharp right to leave, gas station, it never leaked...

Ive had bad luck with the rubber gaskets leaking and cracking after a short time also and still can't find a good replacement. I remember reading something about the rubber
made in India that can be very poor quality.

Yes it is a locking chrome cap, around 10 bucks. I had good luck with them. :metal:

Whatever you do DONT buy the black plastic ones from autozone. The gasket on the one I had didn't even last a month and they wouldn't refund my money. :bs:

Sorry don't have, trashed it 3 yrs' ago when I bought the cap. It's a chrome cap with red lettering in center around the lock, also saw it at 'PEP BOYS'
