sneekpeek at the new rubber for the '80
wheels came into work yesterday and the tires came in today, and of course i dropped what i was doing and mounted the tires even though i won't have the axles ready for 2 or 3 more weeks.
pic comparing them to my 35x12.5x15 bfg mud spare (hint: they dwarf the bfg by about 5 inches) http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...b/f5026399.jpg pic of the 17" hummer wheels http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...8/f502639d.jpg they just barely tuck under my kitchen bar http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...9/f502639b.jpg :metal: |
sweet! cant wait to see them mounted up! i'm going to try to go get my other 14FF sometime next week, and i'll get the carrier out of it for you if you still want it.

what size are those tires, how tall do they measure up? thanks Eric.
|
they are 40x13.5x17 good year MTR's. i measured them and they are 39.5" tall, which is pretty close for larger tires. my 35x12.5 bfg's only measure 34" and my buddines 37X12.5 mtr's only measure 35.5"

Haha, you have fricking tires in your living room. How awesome.

Where did you get your Hummer wheels from, I have been thinking about putting some of those on my Burb.

soleeagle - you can get a set of H2 wheels off ebay pretty easily for about 200 plus shipping. first thing every body does when they buy a hummer is put 20's, 22's or 24's on it so the stock 17's are a dime a dozen. i actualy got them from our ware house for 50 bucks a piece and no shipping charges |
