I have a set of front and rear axles from a 79 suburban if thats any help

89blacksub 02-27-2005 12:15 AM

do you know what gears are in them and if they are a 10 bolt. im pretty new at all this and am not quite sure what fits what. all i know is that it seems that different bolt rearends seem to use different gears. all i am really interested in are the gears inside...unless of course you have 3/4 or 1 ton axles with lower gears in them and they'll fit on my burb without any major modification. let me know what you have.

I have the complete axles with 3.73 gears and they are one ton,as far as making them fit I would think you can but I honestly am not 100% certain my neighbors suburban is 2wd otherwise I would look at his truck and mine and I could tell you but I really do think it can be done

i am asking someone more knowledgable than me about the fitment. as soon as he shoots me and answer ill get back to you. so what are you looking to get for the set anyway??

89blacksub 02-27-2005 04:27 PM

ok he said that the rear would be a complete bolt on. so if you want to just sell the rear let me know how much and then we can figure out shipping and so on. thanks.

I will take 250 each for them I was wanting to sell them as a set and I will have to remove the leaf springs as well I had them cut at the shackles so eveything should be there

89blacksub 02-27-2005 06:07 PM

ok, let me get back to you in a couple of days so i can talk to the shop that is going to do this for me. i am not promising anything so if another buyer comes along go right ahead. thanks
