Hi everybody;

Very cool pics! What is that chrome plated or aluminum large bracket on the 283 for? For the fuel injection or .......?

It looks like a fuel injected Vette enginge. The chrome bracket in back is a cover for the distributor and plug wires.

Is it true the Small Block Chevy is Dead???? (As in not being produced anymore by GM for use in new vehicles)

yup the ls1 has replaced the small block chevy but other than being never modern designs i believe parts are interchangeable and all just like the old sbc
