Frame Question
I have a 1965 C10 Chevy SWB the Frame and bed are in mint condition, the cab and front clip are another matter. I also have a 1967 LWB cab and front clip, Which are in excellect condition. I was wondering will the 67 cab and clip bolt directly on to the 65 frame and if not what type of modifications will I need t make if I choose to travel down that road?

My Bad
I am in southeast Alabama. The 65 Cab is not past the being repairable, it is only the fact that although I and pretty good with fiberglass I am not as proficient with metal. The 67 would require very limited metal work, therefore, I was just wondering if it would simply be a bolt-on process. If not my intentions are to move forward with sticking to what I have.

Cool..................i Don't Believe It's A Bolt On Thing...............the Body Lines Don't Match Very Well, Unless You Have The Stepside.............hemmit

Thanks
The 65 is a SWB stepside...The 67 is (or was) LWB Fleetside....The 67 was wrecked and the Bed and rear frame destroyed. I believe the bed is SWB beds were the same other than the fender design.

Aren't the frame widths different between the 65 & 67?? and the mounting holes I do not think will line up. Could make it work with some mods I guess.

67 fenders
Are they for sale, What condition are they? :metal:
Thanks Willis |
When I bought my '68 c10, I was told it was on a '63 frame. When I swappped to an original '68 frame, I did not see any differences.
tceagent: I have never heard of a farmers special body. I would like to see a pic. Sounds pretty cool. |
