Whats everyone using for stoppage?

Hey everyone, I am currantly working on my braking system cause the dang thing dont wanna stop. Everything is new except the steel brake lines and the prop. valve. I put a big block in a 1/2 ton with manual brakes and before the truck stopped VERY WELL. I am thinking about putting an aftermarket dual diaphram power brake set-up, question is 1:do these work 2:how do you mount them(do you need a bracket that goes from the fire wall to the booster). Any pics of any thing you are currantly running will be greatly appreciatedd! :blah: :metal: :metal:

Mine is still under construction but I am using a hydroboost from Hydratech. You won't ever have to worry about vacuum being a problem. The boost unit from them is new and comes with a adapter to fit our trucks. Their customer support is some of the best I've received and they will help you pick a master cylinder for your application that you can get from the local auto parts store. I'm using one for a new K2500 as I have BAER's up front and a 8.8 stock disc in the back.

Hey, thanks for the reply, that system looks pretty good, I just might go that route if I cant find a more affordable system. By the way your frame/suspension set-up is looking awesome! I am not too worried about vaccuum cause my cam is so-so streetable but if I do decide to get more cam this system just might save a lot of headaches for me. :)

Still under construction but from what I've heard from people that have a Hydratech unit the pedal feel is great and it works so good you have to learn how to apply your brakes because so little effort is required. I don't have any pictures of it on the 'net but I have 2 or 3 on my computer of the unit (not installed) I can email you if you send me your address. There's a Blazer on the Hydratech website that was the prototype for our trucks that there are a picture or two also.
