Free Restoration packets
Just thought I'd pass this info along.
There's a company called MSX International that will send you a free restoration packet for your Chevy/GM truck (and probably car). The packet includes all the original specs for your vehicle (body dimensions, model #s, hp, torque specs, etc.). Everything about the original factory specs. The packet also includes a "past model information" booklet (xeroxed) that includes the following: Extended Storage Guide Overview of GM Restoration Parts Licensing Program GM Restoration Parts Licensees Cowl Tag Guide Ordering GM Performance Parts Publication Ordering Gm Restoration Parts Reference Guide Ordering Past Model Parts Suppliers Automotive Publications Automobile Clus and Museums Sanctioning Bodies Tons of parts suppliers listed. Seems like a great resource. Just call them at 1-800-222-1020 with your VIN #, and they will send the packet in 4 to 6 weeks. Slow mail, but the price is right (FREE). Hope this info helps. |
MSX international???
That's the number to GM for the restoration packet. There is a thead in FAQ on this, including where canadians can go to get there packets. |
MSX International is the name on the packing slip that came with my restoration kit. They may just be a company that processes the orders for GM.
Should have known there would all ready be a thread on this info. Oh well, maybe It will be new to someone. |

Re: Free Restoration packets
I Know Ima Little Late But Do They Still Do This
And If So Do They Do It For GMC |
Re: Free Restoration packets
This is new to me also. I would think they would do it for any GM car or truck including GMC. I am going to call.
Thanks for the info |
Re: Free Restoration packets
That is still the GM Information Center number and I think it is unlikely that they still do this what five years later, but try if you like.
In all likelyhood they will just refer you to the Heritage Center. There you can download the data book specs. that were included in the package but not the fluff. http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-h...tion-kits.html Just select for the drop down for our earlier vehicles. "Chevrolet Trucks (All Models Not Listed Below) Show" It is not complete however and this link has been posted here on 67-72 before several times I know of. |
Re: Free Restoration packets
