350 have a 168-tooth flexplate?
i am looking at a torque converter from TCI, and the one i want to get says it will fit only 168 tooth flexplates, i have a 72 350 with a turbo 400, will this work?

Yes, most of them are 168 tooth (every one that I've ever had), some are 153 tooth but not many.

Uh Oh, I just stuck a 153 in my truck, I hope it fits the starter teeth!

Funny, my ZZ-3 came with a 153 tooth now that I think of it. I could hear my new starter spinning but that's about all I heard. The damn starter gear was an inch or two from the flexplate! :crazy: BTW, I still have that flexplate, any takers?

i've heard good things about tci, what do you think about that converter i put a link too?

my 67 truck has a 153 tooth flex plate in it didnt come that way but thats whats in there now and it works fine had a hard time finding a starter for it the local napa had one in stock the local advance and auto zone didnt have a clue why there starters wouldnt fit it lol i tryed to tell them but they said they only made one starter for chevys after i got the one from napa i took it to those other stores and said whats this look like to them !!!!!!!! those young people workin at those stores dont have a clue as to whats going on lol

1,000 more RPM's than stock, that should put you at 2200-2600 stall. That's a good stall for the street. TCI does make great stuff, you should be happy with that one, price is good too. :metal:
