Wipers

How do you get the wipers off? The manual says to lift it up (which will unlock it) and then pry it off. Mine don't pry, and I'm afraid I'll dent the cowl.
I hate the wipers on my truck. They only hit a small part of the windshield. Suppose there's no way around this due to the heighth vs. width of the windshield, but if there's a different blade or something that helps I'd appreciate knowing about it.
Thanks

If you look at them there is a small tab on the underside, well on mine it was already held back but i couldnt seem to get em off. well they were just major STUCK. if you dont like em then you'll have to do what i did and use a pair of channel locks and just wiggle them up and down a bit to pull the buggers off. perhaps some penetrating oil in there too if you can get it into the spot. good luck!

If they're really tight I sometimes use a block of wood.Pad it with a rag and use a large screwdriver or small prybar.I find that the aems are prone to rusting on so penetrating oil is a good idea.

Thanks.
I got 'em. I was pushing when I should have been pulling or something.
Think I was just prying in the wrong spot. The "nubbin" was a lot bigger than I thought it was.
Wish mine was.:)
Thanks again
