swapping 454 in place of 6 cyl...how much drop with stock springs?

I'm just wondering how much the front end will drop on my '81 when I swap the 454 in place of the 250 six cylinder?
Any ideas?

Casey, it's not exactly the same truck, but my 70 model dropped about an inch when I went from inline 6 to 454. I also went to power steering, power brakes, and auto transmission at the same time.

Hi Kevin, yeah, I'm thinking about an inch drop as well. Combined with the 2 1/2" drop spindles...probably about a 3 1/2" drop total.

I might go and inch becuase the springs are over 20 years old.
