what air fitting are you all using
 

What type of fitting are you all using? Were do you get them?
I have always just used bass fittings from Lows, Home Depot, and the local hard were store. Any one have luck with push in fittings? I had the S#&% plastic ones from “AIM” they leaked bad on my car and I was only running 100 psi at the most replaced with brass and the car stays up for over a week. All but the one wheel that still has one of those fittings it only stays about 2 hours. I am planning on running 300+ on the truck. What do you all think are the push in metal fitting worth 2x the cost?

McMaster Carr is where I have purchased my fittings. I use Parker Presto Lok fittings ... also known as Instant Tube Fittings. I also use these sort of fittings on my paintball guns, which carry pressure well above the 300 PSI you describe.

I used Parker Push-Loc lines and fittings. They wont come apart.

As long as the hose is cut square<i have not had any problem with the parker fittings.I run them on my Tractor trailers.

Parker has been proven time and time again, they won't leak. And what does cost matter, when you won't have a headache over leaky fittings???? Anyways probably 2-3 times as much as the plastic ones. BTW-AIM is crap.

I use to work for a pneumatic pump company and Parker Presto-Locks are not equalled by anyone in the market.

We spent alot of time trying to save money with other MFG's and always ended up with the Parker ones.

As somebody else mentioned, tubing condition makes as much if not more a difference in performance than fittings. Clean square cut end, smooth OD, Proper OD, & full insertion are a must.

Just an FYI: You can have good fittings and bad tubing...and have just as much trouble.

i use compression fittings i purchase here locally at a business called axxion they are all i will ever use i just dont like the pressto loc type fittings i used the compression fittings on my bagged dually and left it up for 2 weeks with no leaks...

compression fittings have worked for me so far. just wanted to see what others are using....and yes Aim sucks

oh yeah i had those brass press in fittings like pictured above for a bagged yota i had and i didn't like those either....matter of fact probably still got a bunch of em left in a box somewhere....or gave em away...

There is Aeroquips version of Push-loc. They call is socketless.
