New around here
:hi2:
My name is Jason. I have a '71 Custom Deluxe 1/2 ton 2wd longbed, hugger orange and white, 350 4V and Turbo 350. It came into the family about 25 years ago and was used around the farm by my uncle. My dad bought it from him and used it for several years as a daily driver. It was given to me and I drove it for a short time until I decided it deserved some fresh paint and more power. Well, 13 years later, here it sits with the cab and bed removed, a blasted and painted frame and a fresh 350 bolted in place and not much else done to it. I've finally decided to finish it. With several moves under my belt and what little organization that I had at 15 when I was disassembling, a lot of the parts are MIA. I recently picked up a '69 C20 which came with a L34 350 horse 396, T-400, and a pretty rust free A/C cab. My plan is to swap the BB and auto, and prep the cab for paint to be bolted on. My procrastination with this truck has always been not knowing what I wanted when it was finished. My original intent has always been/ is to keep the exterior as stock as possible with the original emblems and trim and color. I've decided that I'm going to lower it a little, focus on making the suspension work well in the corners (autocross maybe?), turn a decent 1/4 mile, and be comfortable enough to drive anywhere. Kind of a "Real Street" with a bed. Not really the best at any one aspect, but equally good all around. So, I look forward to learning a bit and sharing a little bit that I know. I am from southern Oregon, about 30 miles from the Ca border.

I'd like to take in some of that Oregon scenery from the driver's seat of my old chevy one day. But with the price of gas these days, I don't know if I could afford such a trip
