Need a shroud chromed
1 Attachment(s)
Does anyone know of a good chromer,if that is the correct term,in the K.C. area? A friend of mine fabed the fan shroud.I think the bowtie is pretty cool
|
Why is the bowtie all those colors? All red or all blue would look smoother IMO.

Looks pretty good to me, I would powder coat it if it were mine.:D |
Yeah its a cutout. You are seeing the engine and one the fan blades(the blue area).I had not thought of powder coating it and there is a place here in town that does that. Thanks Krue, that is a good idea.
|
it doesn't seem to make sence having a cutout in the shroud ,sort of defeats the purpose of having a shroud doesn't it???
maybe cutout a piece of aluminum in the shape of a bowtie and rivet it on to get the proper airflow |
Put a chrome bowtie in a powder coated shroud, should look pretty good.
|
Engine temp runs between 185 and 190,I dont think anything has been compromised. Its more about aesthetics. Thanks for the input all, good ideas.
|
Powdercoat it one color and then powdercoat a piece just large enough to cover the hole in a different color and put it under .
Might look cool to have a 3D look. kw |
I think that's a real cool custom idea that I haven't seen before, and if it still runs about 190 degrees, I wouldn't worry about it at all.
|
maybe plexyglass(sp) in the hole?
