Power Steering Box & Tilt Column

Going to the junkyard this weekend. Working on a 67. I'm looking for a power steering box and a tilt steering column. Does anybody know if parts from other vehicles interchange with these trucks. I've heard you can use a tilt steering column out of some vans in these trucks.

Also, if there are other vehicles I can grab parts from, can I identify there year by the VIN or something?

Thanks

Your best bet for a steering column will be to find one from an early van. I believe some 82's had our style tilt and then back to the 60's. The tilt will be easy to identify as it looks almost identical to the tilts that were standard in our trucks. The shaft will be a few inches longer, but you can collapse the intermediate shaft and it will fit fine. There may be an FAQ on the subject. I am not sure if 67 had the proper intermediate shaft though, so you may need to find one from a 69 - 72. Not sure on that though.
The most important thing to look for is the location of the ignition switch. If it's in the column it won't work (as easily).
