What Carb and Intake Do Ya Use?
I've been brainstormin for awhile about the combo that I'm putting on my 350 and thought it would be cool to know what everyone here is running on your 350's. I'm kinda wondering about cfm ratings on carbs too. Post what ya got, brag em up a little. :metal:

I'm running the original 4bbl intake, with a quadrajet carb from my uncle's old '76 2wd Blazer. I'm guessing it's about a 600cfm carb.
|
Dunno what the flow rating is for my oem q-jet (huge secondaries, though), but it's been rebuilt several years ago and still works very well. I would likely still have the oem intake on it, but it cracked (underneath) and that was a good excuse to buy an Edelbrock 2101. With flattops and a mild rv cam, everything's nearly stock and 87 octane is just fine, thankyouverymuch! :)

Good Start To The Thread Too. Keep em Commin  |
i got an edelbrock RPM performer intake and a edelborck 1407 750 cfm electric choke. pics in the link in my sig

I've got a Weiand intake and a Edelbrock 1406 carb(600cfm electric choke). You can't go wrong with a Q-jet or Edelbrock, they are set and forget carbs. Holleys make more power but require a little more maintenance. Just my .02.

I wonder If I got the best of both worlds. I just got a Holley rebuilt Q-Jet. Rochester casing and Holley Inerds. Cheap too.

Edelbrock RPM performer intake and a Holley Street Avenger 670...works great.

^ Nice looking motor! I went with the 1406 and its a great carb except I won't buy another elec. choke type (shd of went with the 1405). Doug

Here is my 307, laugh it up guys! It will not outperform a 350 :but: it gets very good gas mileage and still has no trouble passing at speeds under 75.

Victor Jr & a Barry Grant 650 Mighty Demon, no issues since install & tuned a year ago and still runs great..

I'm not sure which truck with get that set up yet. |
Stock intake and 68 stock quadrajet on my 327.

454 with oval ports and #1407 Edelbrock on a performer 2-O aluminum intake. I did have a 396 with performer and Holley 650 spreadbore Economaster with adjustable vaccum secondary. But I like these new Edelbrock carbs they are much easier to work on and no gaskets below the fuel level and you can change metering rods etc.. without having to take it apart, besides there is no power valve. Edelbrock has alot of info on their Technical Discussion link that has equations for everything from VE to CFM, Compression Ratio, Flow Bench Conversion Factor, CID, MPH, PRM, Gear Ratio Formula, Tire Radious etc... and some other helpful info.
