Hi Meathead. You converting that Blazer that you got from Gary over to an automatic?

meathead95 05-29-2005 01:36 PM

yes sir! do you have a driveshaft?

Roberty 05-29-2005 04:02 PM

No - Sorry I can't help you out there.

A car Muncie 4 speed would be a nice change in your little Blazer. ;)

Can't you just use a regular shortbed driveshaft or your original and cut it down? I noticed that your planning on going a 700R4 so I was always under the impression that you'd have to cut the driveshaft anyway as the 700R4's are longer - or so I thought.

your right but im going to use a th350 untill i get the 540/700r4 ready

Gee_Emm 05-31-2005 09:16 AM

Your local driveshaft shop should be able to make you up a new driveshaft.

meathead95 05-31-2005 03:05 PM

yeah i know i plan on doing that when i get the 700r4 swap completed i was just hoping to find an elcheapo for now so i could throw in the th350 i have as i am tired of rowing the gears (ive been using this as a daily driver)
