spring height
as most of you know I have a 76 stepper which someone cut the springs on to lower, well I bought 2" drop spindles with the cross drilled rotors, my question is this, how tall is the stock spring so I can figure this out so it sits level, don't really want to trial and error this task if you know what I mean...thanks! :metal:

Someone with a stock set of springs laying around will have to go measure them. Of course they will probably be used so they won't be exactly the same height as new stock springs :)

I didn't see your post until today or I would have checked at work. But any parts store that can order springs should be able to tell you (as long as they know how to check the book instead of using a computer).

I don't have a stock spring uncompressed height, but the compressed height of an original stock spring is 6" as measured on the outward side of the spring between the lip of the upper spring pocket and the lip of the LCA. As Tom points out, an original spring may be shorter than a new stock spring.
