I installed one in my 86 SWB with an 8.5 10 bolt. Installition was very simple and I am very pleased so far. The Powertrax lock rite is the noisy one. I installed the no-slip and after the first 10-15 miles you hardly notice it. When turning really sharp the inside tire will chirp if you are accelerating. I like hearing mine. Over all I would highly recommend the product.

P.S. You dont have to set up the rear again. All you do is remove the axles and spider gears and put this unit in its place. Very easy. Start to finish 2 hours max.

I have not personally used the lock rite, but have herd from others that it is annoyingly loud when turning and cornering. I have the No-Slip system and it is extreamly quiet. Once in a while you will hear a slight poping when turning. Personally I like to hear it a little, it lets me know it is doing its job.

the lock-right is $200 cheaper, who cares if it is louder, money saved is money earned, if it is like that, i will be able to hear it a bunch, at least i will know when it is workin like you said, just a little louder

I've got a Lock-right and you cannot hear it unless you are riding in the box or are moving around near some concrete walls. Action has always been smooth with no banging or other ill effects. When accelerating around a corner it will chirp the tires.

I agree with you 82c10. If it is cheeper go with it. I think I paid a little over $420 from Jegs. But like I said, you'll be happy with either product. I picked up a little over 4 tenths of a second on my 60ft when I installed mine.
