Need Help Identifying A Front Fender

Is there a way to tell if a fender is truly an OEM or NOS GM fender if there is no sticker on it? I bought a fender about 6 months ago off eBay that was advertised as being new old stock, but when I got it, I found out that it had "Gordon" stamped in it and it didn't even come close to fitting like the real thing. So if a 20+ year old fender doesn't have "Gordon" stamped in it, is there any other brand of reproduction fender that it could be, or is it most likely GM?

Right. If it doesn't have "Gordon" stamped on it, does that mean it is GM? Were there any companies other than Gordon that were making reproduction fenders 20 years ago?
