67 Panel Project
3 Attachment(s)
Another project to throw onto the pile.
I'll be swapping over the panel body to the burb 4x4 chassis after the body work and paint are completed. Looks to be pretty solid. When parked years ago it was running, so I'll start there. :) 1300 mile/27hr round trip for this one. SIDE NOTE: Saw Bill Athey on Saturday, he's up and around and back at work. :) |
VTBlazer, Can you get me some close ups of the side molding and a nice profile pic?
Thanks, Rob |
Kurt, Glad to see you made it home safely. It was good to see you again.
|
Looks like a nice score but how in the heck do you find time to work on all these rig's???
|
Thanks... Now I'm gonna go cry.... :( Nice score :metal:

Hey Bill,I was in Rileyville last night and was hoping to look you up yesterday but didn`t get ahold of you before I left.Guess you were busy with Kurt, but would have been pretty cool to meet both of you at the same time.I passed your shop in town today on my way home.I`ll get back soon.Kurt, glad to see you have the Panel back at your place safely.Do you think your ancestors were nomadic hunter gatherers?I think mine were, too.Let`s get together and check out the boneyards in Saudi Arabia my friend told me about. They`re full of rust-free Chevys(already sandblasted).LOL

J/K - the ole burb is really tired, so this one gets put in the front row. |
Quite the collection!
|
If you're not using that rear bumper off the panel I'll take it. It looks OE to me. Just toss it in with the stepside pieces I still need to retrieve.
|
Drove It
Threw in a battery and filled the Gatorade bottle with gas.
Yeah, that's the 'gas tank' apparently. Works for now though... ;) It started and ran surprisingly well for sitting untouched for 5/6 years. Filled the tranny/brakes/radiator and power steering with fluids and everything still worked! Backed the panel off the trailer under it's own power and parked it! |
Kurt...
How do you find time to work on all these toys? Between work and family...you are extraordinary....Nice score... :metal: |

It's become more than a hobby. I'm cleaning house though... ;) How was your trip home? All worked out okay I hope. I couldn't stop in while I was road tripping, sorry. We did the ole 'drive through the night' thing. |
I completely understand, no need to apologize. My trip was as good as it could be, considering circumstances. Again, I am also sorry about the ordeal. If you are ever down this area again, the truck is halfway on the market :) Maybe if you still have the pickups, we could work something out, with just the trucks ;)

excellent :metal:
|
is that a factory roof rack on the white burb?? I saw one on a wercked 4x4 burb locally stashed in a back yard near a walking trail. how rare are those??
