Tow hooks, what kind of steel are they made of

cast steel, manganese steel,,,, just wondering or is it a different kind than either of these two.... thanks...

They are forged.

i know this much dont trust the tow hooks, they will brake :crazy:
i have a 78 blazer and have broke a bunch of stock tow hooks :whine: its not a good thing to be braking when you pulling yourself out of being stuck :lol:
i know its not 67-72 truck but the hooks are all made the same
