Come on now,After all thats not to bad rust. for a 68?
And the 65 biscayne  MY CAR
:drama:
If you want to see rust, the 93 astro van behind the truck has no rockers, gas tank, brake lines, exhaust,or bottom 10 inches of the sliding door...No kidding and its a 93

I bought 10 trucks ,all 73-87 and this was the only 67-72 there,I needed more parts to sell and the others are not this good..And i have to many myself,I have motors/trannys all around here,so i will make it a good driver truck...And move it...I dont want to part it out , it looks to good and i will fix the small rust things...not bad for a 68 thats been here in western n.c. all its life..These are about all gone from this area...
I had to give good $$ to get all these witch i really didn't have right now,i sold 3 cars and traded some motor home stuff too....

Hey Erick dont' get me wrong, it's 10 times nicer rust wise than my truck. I'm just thinkning that maybe I should try to find a basically completely rust free truck. I won't spend any money fixing the rust on my cab. Both rockers on mine are non existant, both cab corners gone, rust on the firewall, and over the windsheild inside. I also prefer the 67-68 trucks, I like that front end better.

Are you married to the idea of getting it running and selling the unit or would you consider parting it?

I could sure use a pair of rocker trim! (My 68 came with about 2/3 of the driver's side trim and nothing on the passenger side.)

The grill looks nice also.. but that might be too rich for my current budget comitments.

I notice that the same support memebrs under the cab are rotted as under mine.

I wasn't hollering at what you said, sorry if it sounded that way..I know it needs some work and i am going to fix it all and save this good looking truck..I have everything here to make it run again..so it will get done soon..I have to invest my time and money in something,I love old trucks  My 69 CST was a longbed when i bought it in 1985 ,its now on a shortbed frame, but changed my mind, now it going to be on a rollback...A cool old truck with tach,tilt,a/c on a newer 77 chassis..454/400 Retro rollback.. :c2:

bisquik65 07-07-2005 03:46 PM

I am going to fix the rust, before it gets really bad,new cab mounts, ect and get it running...So i wont part it,unless i really have to let it go ...but i dont think that will happen..

Erick, I didn't think you were hollering, just didn't want you to think I was slamming your truck. Actually once you get the rust fixed, I am interested. Feel free to PM me. I say that because I no idea how to weld, so I know my money is better spent on one that doesnt' need any rust repair rather than paying someone else to do rust repair.

Pete
