Welcome Mar-K. Are you coming to Carlislie Truck Nationals in August? Keep the parts rolling. :bowtie:

It is good to be welcomed
Thanks to all for the kind words. We look forward to participating in the forum and appreciate the opportunity to do so. As many of you know our expertise is manufacturing and we rarely attend shows. Many dealers carry our product line and they do an excellent job.

Welcome, and thanks for being a supporter! To be honest, I've never heard of you before, however I haven't had my GMC for long either. Are you strictly into classic truck parts, or do you have parts for later models (73-87)?

We manufacture an extensive line of parts for the stepside pickups from the '30s upward to late 80's. Mostly sheet metal parts like bedsides, tailgates, front bed panels, plus the wood bed floor parts. We make aluminum and stainless body moldings for 55-72 pickups. We also sell other lines like Billet Specialties and we carry some of the Asia made pickup fenders. Full catalog is on line www.mar-k.com.

Last yeat I purchased a complete wood bed conversion for my '68. It is nice to buy things that fit like they are supposed to. The metal parts fit like they were original, and the wood looks great. Thanks for a good product.

Welcome! How bout an update on the bedwood finish test?? I used the Minwax Helmsman Spar polyurethane & it is cracking. Is there anything that will hold up? Got my strips, wood, etc from Mar-K, all fit great, looks great. Brian

Wood finish tests, update
We have started the second round of tests for various wood finishes, and hopefully these will prove to be more durable. Information about the finishes we are testing is in the installation information page http://www.mar-k.com/installation_hints.html and look for "Wood Finish testing information V2" to see what finishes we have started to test. We have not found any published comparative test results about the wood finishes so we are just trying things that seem to make sense. Any testing or experience that any of you have done on your beds would be very helpful. We plan to keep trying different finishes as long as it looks like there may be a better way.
