Finally brought her home

I have a lot of work to do, wiring and sheet metal wise. The drivetrain's there and going to be revamped a bit.

Stats:
New GM crate motor (stock 335hp), rebuilt Th400, Chevy NP203 doubler, Ford NP205, Ford HP60 front, Corp 14B rear with disks, CV 1350 drivelines with disk ebrake. Custom bumpers and cage with all the seats and 4 point harness tied into the cage/frame. 38" TSLs, custom Alcan springs, shackle flip in the rear with 63" long, 4" lift springs. Aluminum guage panel with Auto Meter guages, Corbeau seats, RCI 4 pt harnesses, Warn 8274 with 175ft of 3/8" winch rope (grey)...

Items to work on:
Finish installing Painless wiring harness, reconstruct dash (PO hacked it well), build inner fender wells to work around the Ford extended shock towers, Install new heads on the new motor (full aluminum with roller everything), replace rusted out radiator support, left front fender and cut fender wells, install stereo, aux lighting, tune the Lokar shift, fix the Lokar Th400 kick down, finish transfer case skid and mounts. Weld up shock mounts and trim out some bogus welding.

Items I need:
A good back seat. I sold mine before I left California, thinking I would run a custom one set up for 4 point harnesses.

More than I can't think of right now onto the pics:

:jdp: man you are going to have a killer 4x4 rig when your done !!!!!!!! can you get a few pics of things like the rear bumper and spare hanger ? and the front bumper and winch and the doubler setup ? please , i have been wanting to do the same things to a jimmy i got but with chevy stuff

oh i forgot about the rock sliders how they hooked to the truck ?

bouncytruck 07-16-2005 02:20 PM

Looks wild! Did you do the trimming?

Hmn, I thought I had a capable 4x4 now :P. I need to tweak it and finish a year long build up.

5.13's in the pumpkins with a mild 350 does pretty well with a doubler...

Yes, I can take pics, I'll post them tomorrow. I am taking my wife out on a date.

The sliders are welded to the frame with 1.75" .225 wall DOM. They include a body mount and front cage attachment. You'll probably notice that I cut out the rocker boxes, as they were trashed from too many boat launchings in San Diego, CA.

Yes, I did the trimming. It's amazing what a Plasma cutter will do to rotted metal.

I also have to fill some holes from the PO's attempt at a tire carrier with gas can attachments.

Freekin stout! Nice mods. I like the color, too!

That was the color the PO painted it.

Theres also orange and yellow paint under there, somewhere.

I added the bed lining to the lower quarters, interior, roll cage and bumpers.

At some point, I plan to build a cherry blazer for cruising. This one has some hidden bondo, if the rockers and quarters were any indication, so no restoration for this.

Oh yeah, I also need to finish plating the cross members.

I also plan to build a hot rod short bed. Vtblazer has it...

No, I did the column and dash.

No, it won't fit in the Garage. Granted, we don't have one at work...

Posting pictures today.

I don't think I'll be parting it out.

If anything, I'd trade VTBlazer for the projects he has.
