yea, I figured I could give a good idea of the size of this slug with it, while at the same time putting in a good word for the best pop in the world...

Unfortunately, I can't say that one is for me... That is a Garret and the one I am using is a precision turbo. Funny thing is, along with my precision should be a twin to that Garret for my dad's '56 chevy...Can you imagine how that'll look under the hood? :crazy:

N2, I tried to spin it with my finger...but my finger wasn't too happy about those blades, so it's pretty dead on the table. LOL I was seriously tempted to hook it to the shopvac on the "blow" setting...

Turbo85, Maybe this is a good thing for you, I can work out the details and tell you what NOT to do. What do you have planned so far?

Air compressor and a blow off tool lol.... Wear Gloves!!!

... and maybe a clothepin holding a playing card in the blades to make that small block sound. :hm:

I'd LOVE to hear what NOT to do! ;) I'm sure I'll be doing a bunch of stuff I'm not supposed to do anyway, but every little bit of advice helps!
The definite plans so far are to put together a low-compression super-simple-nothing-fancy engine, probably stick with a 305 (don't know why not a 350, probably just to be difficult ;) ), install a TBI setup controlled with MegaSquirt. A twin turbo setup would be awesome, but currently I'm thinking a single with an exhaust crossover for simplicity. But then again, a twin setup would let me get away with smaller (less expensive) turbos which sould spool up faster....
Anyway, I won't be at that point for another year or two. I'm still working on making the truck rock-solid-dependable as is right now.
