high sierra question

Does anyone know if they made a "high sierra" from 67-72? I bought a glovebox door today and it has a high sierra emblem and it looks original. If it isn't, somebody did a nice job putting it on.

I think they only made Sierras and Sierra Grandes in the 67-72 years, and I think the High Sierras started in '73 but I'm not an expert on GMC stuff. Can you get a pic of it?

Rob is correct.

Could GM have used that designation in Canada, like the GMC 910, 920, 930 designations?

my neighbor has a bone stock '72 GMC half ton longbed with "Sierra Grande" on the glovebox.

Sierra Grande is a Cheyenne super in GMC talk. Your neighbor's truck should also have badges on the bed side towards the back.
