Engine and axle decoding

I have looked at FAQ and went to sites, but cannot make heads nor tails of what I have.

ENGINE markings passenger side front lip of block

10925WA on one engine (1968)

131161826 K02 12 CKL (1971 but think truck was originally 6 cyl)

AXLE

Code WA

If it's a 68 it could be a 307, but probably a 283.HA is a 373 single track if it's a 67-72.

i think WA is a 283 in '67 and 307 in '68
HA 3.73's

some one correct me if I am wrong.

Desert Rat 08-01-2005 09:18 PM

LOL beat me to it!

Where, on the engine, that would should the actual year since you cannot count on just the truck's year?

And I know 3.73 is better than 4.10 or 4.11, but should a person find something closer to 3.07 to get better gas mileage?
