Fuel transfer
 

I have approx. 8 gallons of gas in my old tank and I want to safely transfer "some" of it into my new one. Does anyone have any great ideas on how to do this safely? AND, what the heck do I do with the old tank??

Pull out the tank with the help of a friend, dump it into some clear containers. Class or ceramic mixing bowls are great, the gas wahes off of them real wasy.
The reason I say to do that, once you see all the ca-ca floating in the fuel, you won't dare pour it into a new tank.
As for disposal of your old tank, you could let it air out a few days and try throwing it out, but they probably won't take it.
Call a radiater shop, ask what they would do with it.

Im guessing its become "the old tank" because its rusted out?
In that case dont bother re using it man, not worth the $10 to fill you fuel filter or carb full of junk. Stick it in the lawn mower. You can buy $1 plastic syphons at parts stores if you insist on doing it.
