roll bar
my 84 step side has a tool box in it. its not the fuul size box, it sits down in the bed. im wondering if theres anyway i can fit a roll bar in back. i dont wanna throw the box but i will if i have to.

why do you want a rollbar?

for protection and for more off road lights

Maybe if you did a rollbar that goes along the cab only and not down with a 2nd bar in the bed. You still would have to move the box back.

I would probably just cut the corners off the box to clear the downtubes......but I do weld quite a bit.
If you're not into welding then the box may have to go. I saw a roll bar made of PVC on TV recently........wow! If you take those downtubes through the bed floor and tie them to the frame you will have a stronger setup and watch out for the "muffler pipe" setups Jerermy refers too....too common and waay too weak. |
yea i know the ones for sale are super cheap. but im getting our local off road shop to build a stronger one for me, but i want it looking just like the normal roll bars. and i would kill to get a full cage inside. id also love to win the lottery.lol thanx all
