help quick! flexplate for zz4/th350
I am trying to install the ZZ4 motor in my 72 suburban with 350trans.
the flexplate doesn't match up! parts guys can't help unless they know what year truck etc. you know the drill. can you guys help with part numbers or anything to help find the right flexplate? |
Are you trying to install an old style 2 piece crank seal flex plate on a new style 1 piece crank seal enigne? Since 1986 when GM started using a 1 piece crank seal the flex plate changed. GM part numbers for the 350HO are 14088765 12 3/4" 153 tooth / 12554824 14" 168 tooth / 14088761 14" 168 tooth. Sorry do not have numbers for ZZ4. GM dealer should be able to help.

Should be a Pioneer FRA-160, available at any AutoZone or Oreilley for about 40 bucks. My local AutoZone shows to have them in stock without ordering.
Just because I said AutoZone, don't worry, Pioneer is a good manufacturer. |
cool. got one! thanks guys.
