For anyone in the KC area, Edmond and Antoinette will be here in a couple of days.
If you do not know, they are from the Neatherlands and own a Chevy Longhorn.
I will be on vacation next week and do not have a computer at home right now but will be checking in from time to time. Most of you guys in the area have my phone number or you can leave a message here.
I would like to get some folks together somewhere around Cabelas one evening if possible. (alterior motive there)
Let me know.
I am at work now and will check back by 3:00PM Central time for the last time today.

Well we are anxious to meet you guys too.

Today we had a bit of trouble with the rental car, and we had to wait 3,5 hours for an replacement car.
The GMC Envoy was a great car for us, the replacement is an Buick Rendezvous. We liked the GMC more.
Anyway, during our wait we saw this truck came into the gas station:

Mats, maybe we can get your way someday. My ancestors are from Denmark and I would love to see it.
The original name is Hansen. When the family immigrated, there were forms to fill out. I guess the story is that the "e" was written like a large loop and mistaken for an "o". We are supposed to be the only descendents from Denmark with the spelling of Hanson.
Problem is that my great garndfather was an only son, my granfather was an only son, my father was an only son, I have two brothers but am the only one with kids and we have one son. My grandson, his son is the last Hanson boy to date. My Daughter has no kids and will not have our name anyway. Pretty slim tree. The family is about to die out.
