power steering swap
i have heard from many many people that a steering box from the 73 up will bolt right on is this true :flag:

not sure if this is true or not. I know it won't bolt right up to a 67 or 68 frame but it might on the 69 and later. I'm using a 77 power steering box on my 67 but had to build spacers to mount the box away from the frame. If you have a 69 or later, I couldn't imagine it being to difficult at all.

As long as it is a 4wd power steering gear box it will. But don't get too new or you run into different hose ends. The one I'm using is like from a 77 Chevy 4x4 and it was a simple bolt on. New hoses purchased at O'Reily's and that's all I had to do to get it going. For the power steering pump, you might have to change your crank pulley, at least I had to on my no option truck.

I put a '78(ish) blazer steering gear in my '69. Bolted right up, but the drag link wasn't the right length and I could turn really well to the right, but not so good to the left. It wouldn't bolt up to my '68 at all. The frame mounting was completely different, and so was the drag link, and the arm on the axle.
