need recovering VIN# tips

Is the VIN located anywhere other than the driver's door frame? Mine was scratched off and the glovebox sticker is gone. Truck is a 69.

do you still have the title? I think the state may end up issuing a new VIN :(

You should be able to find it stamped on the left forward frame rail.
