how do you clean the plastic that covers the gauges, i know how to get the plastic off, i am talking about what to use on it

If it's starting to haze up it might be better to replace it. If it's still pretty clear there are many plastic polishes on the market that will help.

Ok here is an easy fix and for the expense incurred - last a while--- use Pledge after cleaning it with a damp cloth and drying.

Take some rubbing compound like 3M "Finnessee-It" It works well on plastic and it will clean up the scratches which are probable giving you the hazey look. Go to a body shop and get some from them, this stuff comes in a quart bottle at about $35.00 a pop.
