Trans swap - from auto to standard

I am planning a transmission swap in my 88 Blazer from a 700R4 to a SM465. I have most of the parts from my previous project (a 78 Blazer), but I have never done this kind of swap on a later model truck. I need to know what will be different. Will I need a new PROM and/or ???

Anyone done this swap?
