Going to the track...looking for 11.5 or faster

Taking to ole truck to the track, looking to break into the low 11s. I'll post time slip when I get back tonight.

good luck. I'm guessing it's the '69...? What's the combo? normally aspirated or force fed? We only have an 1/8th mile track here. I should be able to make it in a month or so...

11's?????? man I wish you a lot of luck.....how fast have you gone in it b4? I would of guessed maybe 12.9

What's the verdict?

bigjimzlll 08-28-2005 02:31 PM

so how'd you do?...come on now...it's all good. 11.50's are real hard to get in our trucks.

Purs 08-28-2005 03:01 PM

yes, inquiring minds want to know.....

Personally I'm hoping to run mid to low 7's (1/8th mile) but won't be suprised if I'm closer to high 7's or even low 8's on my first trip to the old race track. Like bigjimIII said, if you've got the balls to take it to the track and flog on it, then it's all good.

Well were the times that bad? :) Curious to see those times, I'd like to get my old truck into the mid 12s when I'm done with it.

stllookn 08-30-2005 11:14 AM

Right now...I would be happy to have the confidence that I could make it to the track...LOL!

Low 11's? I don't see it happening with that setup without Nitrous. I'm thinking it would run mid 13's.

71Dragtruck 08-30-2005 08:26 PM

Hey stroker what are you running for 60 foot ?

Low 1.70's. I haven't raced it since I rebuilt the engine, I hope it will do a little better now.
