what are we referring to here?
the positive battery cable,it is the bottom one that goes underneath the heater hoses, would it hurt if i drove it like this for a couple weeks
I do not see what it would hurt. Still not quit sure what you are referring to really. Why is it that way anyway?
i bought to long of a battery cable, that is why it goes to the radiator support, and doubles back, and am tired of messing with taking the starter off, also would it hurt it if i ran it across the frame
yes, put some loom on it.
If the battery cabel was too long whay did'nt you cut part of it off?

Get a few zip ties and secure it where it doesn't get against anything it shouldn't...
i found some wire looming outside, but it is for a house, it doesn't have a slit in it, so i guess i will go to autozone or oriellys tomorrow, o and i have about 600+ zipties in a container in the truck

Cover the metal pipe
That looks like a A/C line, not sure, but whatever it's for it looks like an aluminum pipe. I found out the hard way, if you let that battery cable rub that pipe very long you will have a hole.
Cover it with a split piece of rubber hose. |
watch for where the wire lays across anything it might rub with or any sharp edges it may get cut by or even hto parts that may melt it. the last thing you want to be doing on your weekend is trying to find a short somewhere. NOT FUN!!!
would it hurt it if i ran the battery cable by the hard fuel lines,it is now covered in loom, and on part of it it has fire retardent stuff
also is it ok to leave the nut on the s - terminal a little loose
