Do i need to use smaller shocks?

Got a ? about what kind of shocks to put on my 76 GMC swb 2wd, i got 2' drop coils,in front with the stock spindels, and the fender sit about 3 or 4 inches above the front tire. On the rear i installed a 4" shackle and hanger kit, but retained the stock springs, which have 3 liefs, plus a thick helper spring on the bottom. I also left the axle below the springs, and the rear fenders sit about the same 3 or 4 inches above the tires. My ? is will i need the smaller dropped shocks for this set up, or will the stock shocks work?
