so. i live in cali and have my 86 c10. i have all the smog stuff on my truck. air pump, tubes in the exhost manifilds, and everything else.. what i want to know, is why do i need this, when i see other trucks just like mine that dont have anything at all, and dont need to be smogged?

i am actually considering finding a truck with a title that dosnt need to be smogged and building one truck out of mine and it. just so i can rid myself of the million vacuum lines, air pump, and get headers.

i just want to know what i need to be looking for in a truck, like what title, or what i can do to make this happen. legally of course.. thing has to be registered.

There are a few things you can still do with your truck. Edelbrock and a few others make smog legal headers. I have some on my truck. This website will tell you all you need to know.
