Took off my Cab today...FINALLY! due to the replacement cab I am putting on her.
I noticed that the cab's front two bolts are welded in.
Is this common?

Both of my cabs had the front bolts welded in.

My 71 had the cab bolts welded in but the cab I'm using for the truck came off a 72 and the passenger bolt was welded but the drivers wasn't. Seemed kinda odd but I don't know

Yep, same way on my truck too. Except it already had a cab swap in the mid 70's, not really sure why they did that so early unless my truck had something fall on it.

mine were welded, but i didn't know it was a common thing. it's not too hard to use one hand in cab, one under.
