Looks like this will be the family's New SUV. My wife was hoping it was the neighbors blazer as she came down the road......That was mean. As you can see, I need a few things. Rear tire carrier, rear seat mounts. floor pans transfew case knob. I think this will get me going for awhile. My plans? Install 4 inch suspension lift, new rims and tire, Repair ac system, stereo system, insulated side panels and paint it dark blue metalic. I hope to finish this by spring 06.

Gotta start somewhere :cong: . I had to do a double take when I first saw the photo's, I thought someone had stolen my Jimmy. Your's has just as many colours as mine does, kind of a rainbow effect (that's what I tell the wife) and with the white rims too!.. ya got style... :metal:

will you guys tell my wife I got a good deal....LOL. To be honest with you all. I had a 92 chevy truck that I paid $200.00 and it was rearended and I got some great $$$. I put the $$$ towards this Blazer. So I guess I could say I got the blazer for $200.00. It does run but needs more body work than mechanical. Not a problem.

What ever you do continue to drive it as you work on it. If you do all of the work yourself just work on one that at a time until you complete that task. Do not do like I did and completely blew apart my 72 CST 2wd Blazer that was freshly painted (not great but decent) new rebuilt 350 and driving, inspected and tagged. The front end was loose so I completely rebuilt it. I had a whine in the rearend too so I tore down the rearend in my garage and the next thing I knew it was a ground up restoration. I totally f%^%ed up. That was 10 years ago!!!!

Your wife will love it when it's all finished but it's usually an up hill battle until that time. Was for me anyway...

My wife would have said the same thing, as I bring home a vehicle every few weeks!!

Oh, you sound like me then. I am currently building a 2000 chevy corvette convertible and a 2002 Dodge Dakota quad cab pickup. I build cars in my spare time to fund the Blazer that never seems to get finished. Go figure. But, the Blazer does not make money rather it spends it.

I WOULD HATE TO SAY WHAT I PAID FOR THAT BLAZER, BUT I SOLD ENOUGH SPARE PARTS THAT CAME WITH IT TO MORE THAN PAY THE ORIGINAL PRICE THAT I PAID FOR THE WHOLE SHOOTIN MATCH. NICE TRUCK. I BOUGHT IT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. THERES AN AWFUL LOT OF RUST ON THE UNDERSIDE OF IT, ALMOST LIKE IT WAS PARKED ON WET GRASS FOR 25 YEARS. THE BODY IS STRAIGHT & SOLID BUT IT LOOKED LIKE THE WHOLE UNDERSIDE HAD SURFACE RUST ON IT. IF I KEPT IT I WOULD HAVE PAINTED THE WHOLE UNDERSIDE WITH P.O.R. OR SOMETHING SIMILER:hm: JOHN

That's me, I bring home a POS, fix it up and sell it for a profit only to soak the cash into my other money pits!! I make money, but have none to show for when its all said and done, but the projects get shiny new stuff so its all good.
