Header question
A while back somebody posted a good list on headers and the part numbers from Summit. I think it was Tx Fighter. I can't find this info. I think the camaro headers were the best fit. All help will be appreciated. Thanks

Can't help with the old thread but I put a set of Hooker Competition Headers on my '70 350 (PN 520-2452 Jegs or Summit). I have a manual transmission and 23 degree angled valve plugs in the heads and the Hooker headers fit with no modification. Straight plugs would certainly work. Only the cylinder 5 plug is close to touching bacause of the angle.
They also fit under the trany crossmember with about 1/8-1/4" gap. FWIW, The Hooker headers are made in Aberdeen, MS at the Holley factory only 15 mi from where I live. I had my local performance shop call in the order and I picked them up on my way to work one day and save my self a little dough. How cool is that? |

It wasn't me.
I have experience with only two different headers on these trucks. Hooker and Summit brand, which are reboxed Dynomax headers. I know nothing about Camaro headers on our trucks. I think it may have been Casey (Superchevy). Personally, I'm an exhaust manifold kind of guy. |
check out the doug thorley triple "y" style for the 67-72...sweet header, dont have it yet, but will.
