stiff windows
the years have not been kind to my window crank assembly. i have to pull up or push down on the window while cranking to get the things to move. does the assembly need to be pulled to fix or is it a lube thing. if lube, where should it go?

Check the channel your window moves up and down in, if it's in bad shape and is binding the window replacing that might cure it. Mostly tho it's wear and tear of the regulator itself. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa....php3?t=157539 has a faq on replacing the regulator. You could use it to remove the door panel and visually check the regulator for wear or tear.

Great link Krue, as bucket mentioned what kind of lube is preferred? I suppose you could just use regular chassis grease. Doug

I didn't lube mine, so I can't speak to it. I installed a new regulator on mine, bought it from GMCPaul and it works great now.
