Click on this-here it will take you to an old thread about sound deadener. It has other links posted in that thread that you can follow as well.... |
Capt- Whats the difference between ACC kits and something from LMC? The ACC website is pretty vague.....do you have more info on this carpet? Thanks jesse

Also, for anyone that has used "brown bread" is that stuff a one time application? Can it be lifted up and reapplied(speakerwire, and other reasons)?
|
I installed a NPI carpet and it was junk. Fit was awful and the only prep I'd say is prepare to get thoroughly pissed off throughout the entire install.

I personally would not run anything underneath it, if you want to run speaker wire, run it between the brown bread and the carpet...that is what I am doing. |

After trying other manufacturers I now ONLY use ACC, they are known for their quality and I have never had any issues with them. From what I understand, Nifty makes LMC's carpet.... EDIT: Just wanted to add that I have been buying ACC carpet kits since 1990. |
Brown bread is just for sound, right? You'll need an insulator pad too.
|
I have put ACC in a few of my cars in past years and would recommend it to anyone. Lays good and really good quality too. Captkaos, glad to find out you sell this. I will be needing some in near future for my 1986 swb. How much is your price for my truck in blac? I would rather buy from a board member anyway.

By the way. It is not called brown bead anymore. Now they call it "B-QuietUltimate". Just thought I would let you know.
|
Thanks for all the info.......Capt I'll be getting a hold of you for a carpet order soon. How does the B-QuietUltimate(brown bread) hold up in the extreme heat? It gets to about 118 here in arizona in the summer. Is there any issues with it getting soft and glue seeping out? Also about how much B-Quiet will I need to do my 79 2wd blazer? I want to do under all carpet and maybe some in the doors and rear side panels. Thanks again guys!!

Brown Bread is primarily for sound, the jute padding that comes with (under) the carpet is for insulation I believe.
Chris can answer this better than me I hope. |
