steering wheel puller bolts
Does anyone know what size the bolts are for a steering wheel puller? I have the metal piece and the center bolt but can't find the bolts that screw into the wheel. I have tried a couple but no luck. So this is my last option before dropping another $15 on another puller.
Thanks |
anyone?

1/2 inch head...5/16 bolt. length depends on type of wheel you are removing. The new ones are pretty deep while old ones are not.

I had an aftermarket wheel hub on mine I just got a small pulley puller and did not use bolts. Also Auto Zone will rent the puller for free all you have to do is put a deposit down that you get back.

No autozone here. Thanks anyway
Do you happen to know the threads? I have tried 2 different 5/16 bolts and they won't thread in there |
I used two carburator studs that came with a two inch spacer, I need to pull my wheel back off again. I will check the bolt size tomorrow afternoon, if you do not have your answer by then.

They're 5/16 course thread. If the bolts won't thread in there, the threads are buggered up.

Don't know the threads off the top of my head. I used a dent-puller with an allen head bolt. Had to spin down the head a little to get it in the retainer, but works like a champ.
