Fixed my 4 spoke woes!!
1 Attachment(s)
Well for for anyone interested..... I got my new wheel fixed up. There is this lip on the back of the wheel. And that was fitting tight around the steering culuom. So out came the razor knife!! Also now that I fixed my horn, I found that the tabs holding the copper ring on the turn signal swich contacted the back of the wheel, turning on the horn!! So out came the 100 mph tape and covered those bad boys up!! :) So in closing, my wheel turns easy and nice, my horn works, and my engine still has no oil pressure!! LOL!!!

Just FTI the 2nd gen camaro wheels look similar, have a black bowtie in the horn button, and should fit up easier. I know, cause I look at one every day :)

Other than not seeing my lower guages, I really like the wheel. :)

If you tighten up the bolt next to the sprag that contacts the cam your oil pressure might go up.
Or not. I've toyed with the idea of those wheels when my mother-in-law had an Astro Van. She wouldn't have liked the exchange though. They do look good and fit the hand well. Too bad about what you guys say about the lower guages though. Of course, with no oil pressure, who really cares about things like water temp and charging systems. |
(in my best yoda's voice).
"hmm...looks good it does" :D jay |
Thanks, the wheel is still growing on me... :D The truck actually "feels" diffrent. It's kinda hard to decribe.....
